I've written this Task to operate like you're working on where you sleep, but you can apply these ideas to chairs, corners, or small safe spaces as well. The first thing you gotta do is completely clean off your cozy zone. If you're working on your bed, toss the things that are on it onto the floor. Futon? To the floor. Chair or couch? Floor. Prioritizing your health isn't jeapordizing other peoples food security. Food pantrys don't take half eaten food anyway. Got crumbs? Set a [[reminder|Reminder Tuto]] to vacuum or sweep later. You don't have to sweep or vacuum now, but you can if you'd like. --- Alright, what's next?(clickappend: "Alright, what's next?")[ Now we're gonna put some things back into your Cozy Zone. Clean sheets are prefered but not required. If you can, I honestly recommend having at least two pairs of sheets in your home. It makes getting laundry done a bit less stressful. Make sure you add some Fluffy Friends to your cozy zone. I recommend at least one stuffed animals, regardless of how old you are. (link: "Transition objects")[(gotourl:"https://www.mentalhelp.net/blogs/the-transitional-objects-and-self-comfort/")] are incredibly important for your mental health, and can be anything from worry beads to old photographs to a special pair of sweatpants. I'm a fan of stuffed animals because they often provide additional sensory comfort when you need it. If your transition object is a stuffed animal or a blanket, there isn't anything wrong with you. Your transition object is just different from someone elses. You are never too old for comofrt. If your Fluffy Friends need some cleaning but can't go in the laundry, I have a special Task to [[Clean Soft Boys]]. It's optional, you don't have to do this now. Lastly, go ahead and add anything else to your Cozy Zone that makes your life easier. I like to add earplugs, mints, and a water bottle to my Cozy Zones. Add whatever works for you. Some items have more than one Home: a pair of sneakers' Home might be by the front door, in the closet, on a shoe rack, or under the bed. The point of an object having a Home is that when you aren't using the object, it returns to its Home. I wear my favortie jacket outside when it's cold, and when I come back to //my// home, I return my jacket to //its// Home on the back of my desk chair.
